photo competition 2023

The competition closes on 23:59 28th February 2023 (Japan Standard Time). Judges will select the competition winner and the shortlist of photos. More information about the Jury can be found on our website. If your photograph is selected as a finalist, you will be contacted in early March regarding next steps. The winner will be announced in late March.

Work submitted must be original photography taken by the entrant. The entrant is the sole copyright holder. Images must not be significantly altered before submission (this includes editing in external images or adding stickers or text). We may crop or digitally process the images to fit the billboard or digital media platforms.

Before entering, please read the Entry Guidelines carefully as all entrants have to acknowledge they have read them during the online registration process.

Entry period

15:00 Japan Standard Time (JST) on 15th February 2023 to 23:59 Japan Standard Time (JST) on 28th February 2023

Eligibility

The competition is open to all, professional and amateur, regardless of age or nationality.

Entrants under 18 years of age require the permission of a parent or guardian. By entering the contest, entrants under 18 years of age indicate that they have obtained the permission of a parent or guardian.

Selection

All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges, who will select 10 finalist photos from all eligible submissions received during the entry period.

We will publish the finalist entries on our website as well as on Instagram. The panel of judges will choose the grand prize winner from the finalist entries.

Members of the public will be invited to vote on Instagram for their favourite entry. The photo with the most likes will receive the ‘popular vote’ award.

Finalists

We will email all finalists in early March 2023. They will be invited to share a short bio, profile photo and message about their photo and work. The bios and messages will be showcased in our online art gallery along with their works.
